Wellness + Wealth + Wisdom, An Unconference For Women Lawyers
Join us for intimate conversations around Wellness + Wealth + Wisdom. This event is open to all self-identified women. During this half-day event, we'll explore the many questions, challenges, and opportunities of being a woman lawyer.
As women lawyers, we have an unique opportunity to shape the practice of law and find ways of practicing that honor our authentic selves. We also face unique struggles as women attorneys. If you've ever wondered how to navigate a tricky work situation, but were too afraid to seek advice, if you've ever felt as though you're the only one struggling to find work/life balance, or wished for a safe space where you can explore the questions around wellness, wealth and wisdom, this conference is for you.
In an unconference, we bring together key stakeholders and create a space where a radically different way of thinking is possible. It's an opportunity to share, connect and innovate.
This event is limited to 70 women attorneys in order to create a space that's condusive to authentic connection.
An unconference is a participant-driven meeting that emphasizes the informal exchange of information and ideas, rather than following a conventionally structured program of events. Instead of having predetermined speakers or session topics, the participants shape the agenda themselves at the beginning of the unconference and share information and ideas in a more decentralized fashion. It's a way to foster and boost the impact of "hallway magic."
Unconferences originated in the technology sector, but have since been used in a variety of professional fields. Unconferences have not yet caught on among lawyers, but Shape the Law is changing that.
This event will be an opportunity to cross-pollinate: learn what others are doing, what works (and what doesn’t), and see if others’ strategies can be adapted to your situation.
This event is open to all self-identified women lawyers. You should attend this event if you're looking for an opportunity to authentically connect with other women lawyers. In our previous San Francisco event, we covered over 30 topics that impact women lawyers.
IOur goal is to invite a cross section of legal professionals from different backgrounds creates a space for creative problemsolving, and looking at our challenges in a new light.
In previous events, we've had:
- Big Law partners and associates
- Solo and small-firm attorneys
- In-house counsel
- Government and nonprofit attorneys
- Bar association staff/attorneys
- Coaches and other professionals that work with attorneys
